Mental Health Support
Promoting Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience
Mental health is a vital part of overall wellbeing. However, many individuals and families face emotional and psychological challenges without access to the support they need. Through the Mental Health Support Program, ASHA is committed to promoting psychological wellbeing, raising awareness about mental health issues, and providing support services for individuals experiencing emotional distress.
Our program focuses on reducing stigma, increasing access to mental health information, and empowering people with the tools they need to cope with life’s challenges.
Our Mission
The Mental Health Support Program aims to improve the emotional and psychological wellbeing of individuals and communities by promoting awareness, providing guidance, and connecting people with appropriate support services.
What We Do
Mental Health Awareness
ASHA conducts community campaigns, workshops, and awareness programs to educate people about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. These initiatives help communities better understand issues such as:
Depression and anxiety
Stress and trauma
Addiction and substance abuse
Emotional wellbeing
Counselling and Support
We work to provide access to counselling and emotional support services for individuals facing personal challenges such as:
Abuse or trauma
Family or relationship difficulties
Loss and grief
Stress related to economic hardship
These services aim to help individuals rebuild confidence, resilience, and hope.
Support for Survivors of Abuse
ASHA provides specialized support for women and individuals who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse. Through safe spaces and support networks, survivors can access guidance, peer support, and pathways to recovery.
