Regional Poetry & Essay Prize Contest
Inspiring Ideas. Amplifying Voices. Shaping the Future.
The Regional Poetry & Essay Prize Contest is an ASHA initiative designed to encourage intellectual expression, creativity, and critical thinking among young people across regions. Through the power of words, this contest provides a platform for youth to explore social issues, share personal experiences, and propose solutions that inspire positive change. We believe that when young people are given a voice, they become leaders, advocates, and changemakers within their communities.
Why This Contest Matters
In many underserved communities, talented young writers lack platforms to showcase their creativity and perspectives. The Regional Poetry & Essay Prize Contest seeks to:
Promote literacy and academic excellence
Encourage creative and analytical thinking
Provide a safe platform for youth expression
Raise awareness on social, educational, and developmental issues
Identify and nurture emerging writers and thinkers
Through poetry and essays, participants are encouraged to reflect on themes such as leadership, equality, gender justice, community development, climate change, education, and youth empowerment.
